About Jack Killeen
I’m Jack Killeen, a driven and passionate professional with a strong foundation in both business and environmental studies, complemented by diverse hands-on experiences. Currently, I’m pursuing an MBA at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, focusing on Energy, Sustainable Enterprise, and Venture Capital, alongside a Master of Environmental Management at Duke University, specializing in Energy & Environment and Environmental Analytics & Modeling. My academic journey began with a BA in Economics from Villanova University, laying the groundwork for my multifaceted career.
Professionally, I thrive at the intersection of energy, sustainability, and finance. At InventWood, I gained invaluable start-up experience, leading efforts on international expansion strategies, market fit, and financial modeling. I’m currently interning with Blueridge Climate Ventures, diving deep into early-stage climate tech investments, performing due diligence, and refining market research strategies. Previously, I served as an Associate Vice President at Bessemer Trust, where I played a pivotal role in client portfolio management and capital raising, securing over $1 billion in new assets, much of which was committed to hedge fund and private equity offerings.
Beyond my professional pursuits, I’m passionate about giving back. This year, I proudly completed my fourth marathon—the NYC Marathon—raising funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, continuing my commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. I also enjoy hiking, running, and camping, reconnecting with the natural world that inspires my work in sustainable energy and innovation.
